This is Bertha. She's the largest of Jim's 6 fire cannons.
Well in truth, Bertha also has one of her smaller co-horts on the sled with her. Bertha's the tall one.
I had seen the cannons shoot for the first time about 3 days before this pic was taken.
It was amazing, so I was totally psyched when Jim saunters into camp at noon & asks "anybody wanna see the
cannons tonight? Duh, hell yeah! So, does anyone want to help me fill them up with fuel?
I was the only one who said yes.

It took 3 hours and 7 drums of fuel. I passed the time pestering Jim to show me how they worked,
how he built them & debating the finer points of his fuel mixture. You know, in case I ever felt
the need to have one of my own. Hmm, pressurized nitrogen to reduce flammability risk, splash guard,
solenoid valves, remote firing box, a little mix of this and that from fuel drums...seems pretty safe.
When we finished Jim told me that I could fire them off since I had been kind enough to help. HOLY SHIT!!!
Nice thing about Jim is when he's not stealing your art car, he shares his toys.

Funny, Bertha looks pretty harmless sitting here at sunset...
